We are happy to announce that our article, Rheumatoid Arthritis – Prevention and Treatment with a Plant-Based Diet, has been accepted by the peer-reviewed medical journal Orthopedics and Rheumatology Open Access Journal.

This is the latest in a series of articles we have been writing in medical journals in the hope of spreading these valuable research reviews to many more doctors around the world.  So far, we’ve also had articles published on Type 2 Diabetes, Crohn’s Disease and Prostate Cancer in relevant medical journals.

Writing these articles for medical journals is part of our Prescribe Vegetarian campaign, as we work to educate physicians on the importance of prescribing a plant-based diet for the prevention and treatment of various diseases. Another aspect of this campaign is our annual Vegfest Medical Seminar, co-sponsored by the Washington State Medical Association, where doctors and University of Washington medical school students are taught by specialists in their field how to prevent and treat disease with a plant- based diet.

Stay tuned as we prepare even more articles for submission to appropriate medical journals and produce our 4th annual medical seminar. There’s very solid science behind the prevention and treatment of a wide variety of diseases with a plant-based diet and we want as many doctors as possible to know about it!
