Vegan menus for cruisers
If you wanted to take a cruise, but worried that you wouldn’t be able to find sufficient vegan options during the trip, worry no more! Princess Cruises has introduced a series of creatively crafted vegan menus in response to the surging demand for plant-based cuisine. They are currently rolling out these new menus in the main dining rooms of their whole fleet of 15 ships.
Prepared without the use of any animal products, the vegan menus offer a range of starters, salads, soups, pastas and main dishes. Guests can request the vegan options prior to their cruise, or once they are onboard, since these menu options are available to all.
“Our dedication to delivering unforgettable culinary experiences continues to evolve with current trends, including the desire for more vegan offerings,” said Sami Kohen, Princess Cruises Vice President of Food and Beverage. “Our new plant-based dinner menus offer our vegan guests an extraordinary culinary journey while providing reassurance and peace of mind with dishes they know meet their lifestyle preferences.”
Menu options include such dishes as Baja-style Cauliflower Tacos, Green Goddess Salad with Tofu, Roasted Eggplant and Tomato soup, Penne pasta with Red Pepper Pesto, and Plant-Based Shepherd’s Pie. Sounds yummy!
